Local Foods

Above, the Local Foods booth designed by HGCP's GreenCorps Member Genna Strauss. This booth set up at Back to Basics (shown) and the PRB Wellness Festival offered a bounty of information and a survey for participants to fill out regarding their food use/consumption/purchasing. The results of the survey are assisting the Food Cooperative task force in identifying their next steps.
Warming up the Community @ Back to Basics

Phillip Muessig (at Left) relayed some of the basics about the GreenStep Cities Program.
January 30, 2010 Dan Frank (above Left), Angela Headlee and Jason Edens (in above Right w/ Dan Frank) shared with the crowd gathered for Happy Dancing Turtle's Back to Basics sustainable living event, some ways to "Warm up your Home". Click here for their presentations.
2nd Half of Grant $

Smiles all around!
At the January Steering Committee meeting Dan Frank of the Initiative Foundation presented the Greater Pine River Area Healthy Green Communities Partnership the second half of the grant funding. This meant $5,000 more dollars to put towards the task force projects. As you can see we were all very happy to have that money available as the work of each task force jumps forward.
